The telecast program will feature an impressive cast of more than 175 performers from archival footage of Ballet Hawaii’s previous productions of The Nutcracker at Neal Blaisdell Center that includes New York City Ballet’s prima ballerina Megan Fairchild. The broadcast incorporates a performance by the Hawaiʻi Symphony Orchestra conducted by Stuart Chafetz at the Hawaii Theatre Center. Local girl\, professional ballet dancer\, and international actor Amanda Schull narrates. The vision of the Hawai’i Nutcracker is by internationally renowned choreographer Septime Webre\, artistic director of the Hong Kong Ballet\, and Ballet Hawaii’s own artistic director Pamela Taylor-Tongg. Scheduled to perform at the Waikiki Beach Walk Plaza Stage: \n\n4 p.m. Kumu Hula Sallie Kauakea Yoza & Hālau ʻO Napualaʻikauikaiu\n5 p.m. Ledward Kaapana & Jesse Gregorio\n6 p.m. Mike Kaawa Band\, featuring Paul Kim and Analū Aʻina\n7 p.m. Kawika Kahiapo & Friends\n\nWaikiki SPAM JAM® Festival 2022 will feature three festivals at the major shopping centers in Waikiki. \n\nApril 23  4:00pm – 8:30pm  Waikiki Beach Walk\nApril 28  4:00pm – 8:00pm  International Marketplace\nMay 1  11:00am – 4:00pm  Royal Hawaiian Center\n\nNOTES: There will be a star-studded roster of live entertainment (above) and with personal appearances by Spammy and Musu – the loveable SPAM mascots that will delight the keiki.  Collectible Waikiki SPAM Jam memorabilia along with SPAM T-shirts and other logo items will be on sale along with plenty of food. \nMusubi Café Iyasume will have a booth selling several of their most popular SPAM musubi items.  Partners Giovanni Pastrami and Poke Bar will each have creative and unique menu items featuring SPAM.  And\, of course\, ABC Stores will be well-stocked with tons of SPAM as well as their most popular SPAM musubi. \nThe Hawaii Food Bank will also have a booth to receive donations for a special food drive as part of the event.  We encourage all Partners to bring any non-perishable food items for this worthy food drive (and if you happen to forget to bring something from home that day\, we also encourage you to purchase an item at our ABC Store).
