Frank Ocean releases new music on ‘blonded Xmas’ radio show

Frank Ocean debuted nine minutes of new music during an episode of his Blonded Radio show on Apple Music. Fans tuned in to a lengthy piano piece featuring Ocean rapping and ad-libbing. Ocean wrote on his Instagram Stories that the majority of the track was recorded in a single take in the summer of 2020.

Ocean’s Blonded Radio episode also included audio culled from his discussion with Dutch extreme athlete and motivational speaker Wim “The Iceman” Hof, conducted following the death of Ocean’s younger brother Ryan Breaux in August 2020. “Me and @iceman_hof had a conversation some time ago when I was in the earlier stages of grief and I remember marbling afterwards at how his energy blasted through the phone,” Ocean added. “So much vim in this Wim. We spoke for a while about his work, the purpose of grief and how going into the cold water changed his life.”

Ocean last released his singles “Dear April” and “Cayendo” in April 2020. You can listen to the new song – here.

Dior postpones Travis Scott collaboration ‘indefinitely’

Travis Scott has been dropped by the perfume company Dior. Dior announced that it has paused indefinitely a “capsule collection” collaboration between Dior men’s artistic director Kim Jones, and Scott’s Cactus Jack label, which was due out next year. The partnership was to be Dior’s first with a musician.

Dior said in a statement, “Out of respect for everyone affected by the tragic events at Astroworld, Dior has decided to postpone indefinitely the launch of products from the Cactus Jack collaboration originally intended to be included in its summer 2022 collection.”

The indefinite Dior postponement is the second significant branding deal Scott has lost in a matter of weeks. Weeks ago, Anheuser-Busch announced it will no longer distribute Scott’s Cacti line of hard seltzers.  In addition, Epic Games has removed the “Travis Scott emote” from their massive online game, Fortnite; Parsons School of Design pulled out of their contract with Scott’s ‘Cactus Jack Design Center,’ and Nike postponed Air Max 1 x Cactus Jack collab. Scott has also been dropped from the 2022 Coachella lineup (which he was slated to headline).

Meghan King reveals separation from husband Cuffe Biden Owens after 2 months of marriage

Former “Real Housewives of Orange County” cast member Meghan King has split from husband Cuffe Owens after just two months of marriage. Owens is the son of Valerie Owens, who is President Biden’s younger sister.

The 37-year-old King revealed news of the split from Owens, 42, in a series of Instagram stories on Monday. King wrote: “I’ve been asked by many outlets and individuals to comment on the state of marriage. I am rattled. This situation is profoundly devastating. This is obviously not what I imagined when I made my vows — and I’m shocked and saddened by the way things turned out. I am moving forward with my children as we privately process our pain and begin to let go of shattered dreams. At this time I ask for your grace and gentle kindness as I navigate this labyrinth of grief with my family.”

King and Owens were married in Pennsylvania on October 11 in an intimate family ceremony that was attended by President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden. King first introduced Owens as her boyfriend in late September on social media, sharing a photo of her and Owens with their arms around each other and saying: “Trying my best to avoid any cheesy introductions like ‘my main squeeze’… so just meet my man.”

King was a main cast member on “Real Housewives of Orange County” for three seasons from 2015 to 2017.  She split from Jim Edmonds in 2019 after five years of marriage.  Edmonds and King share daughter Aspen, 5, and twin sons Hart and Hayes, 3.
