64th Annual GRAMMY Awards rescheduled to Sunday, April 3
The 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards have been rescheduled and will now broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 3, from 8-11:30 p.m on CBS, and available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+. It’s the first time the show will take place in Vegas.
The show was postponed earlier this month amid the omicron surge from its original date of Jan. 31. It was scheduled to take place at the Crypto.com Arena (formerly known as the Staples Center) in Los Angeles. The Daily Show’s Trevor Noah will return as host of the ceremony. Additional details about the dates and locations of other official GRAMMY Week events, including the GRAMMY Awards Premiere Ceremony, MusiCares Person of the Year and the Pre-GRAMMY Gala will be announced soon.
The news came via a joint announcement from the Recording Academy, CBS and CMT. The CMT Awards will now move from its originally scheduled date of April 3 to a later date in April to be determined. This year will mark the first time that the CMT Awards will air on CBS.
Jon Batiste leads all nominees with 11 nominations; J. Cole, Drake, Lil Nas X, Justin Bieber, Billie Eilish, H.E.R., Olivia Rodrigo, and more also received multiple nominations.

NBC to honor the late Betty White with primetime special on Jan. 31
NBC has announced plans to air the special ‘Celebrating Betty White: America’s Golden Girl’ on Monday, Jan. 31 at 10/9c. White passed away on Dec. 31 at the age of 99 — just a few weeks shy of her 100th birthday.
Celebrating Betty White: America’s Golden Girl will see friends and stars celebrate the TV legend and animal rights advocate throughout the special. The hour-long tribute will feature curated clips that encapsulate White’s “irreverent tone, spirit and impeccable comedic timing that are a hallmark of her decades-long career.” After airing on NBC on 1/31, the program will be available to stream on Peacock the following day.
White was an Emmy, Grammy and SAG Award winner. Her list of acting credits include roles on The Mary Tyler Moore Show (1973-77), The Golden Girls (1985-92) and Hot in Cleveland (2010-15). White also appeared on the big screen in films like Lake Placid (1999) and The Proposal (2009), and will be remembered as a tireless advocate for animals.

‘Scream’ takes over the top spot at the box office with $34M holiday weekend debut
Scream was No. 1 at the box office over the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend with a projected four-day gross of $34 million — dethroning Spider-Man: No Way Home. Scream‘s three-day domestic weekend gross is an estimated $30 million. Overseas, Scream grossed $18 million from 50 markets for a global debut of $52 million.
Scream comes more than 25 years after the late Wes Craven’s original film hit the big screen. The new film — the first not directed by Craven — is the fifth title in the series, and a direct sequel to 2011’s Scream 4. Scream sees stars Courteney Cox and Neve Campbell, along with Marley Shelton, David Arquette, Skeet Ulrich, Heather Matarazzo and Roger L. Jackson, reprising their roles. Newcomers include Jenna Ortega, Melissa Barrera, Mason Gooding, Dylan Minnette and Jack Quaid.
Spider-Man: No Way Home fell to No. 2 in its fifth weekend with an estimated $26 million, including $20.8 million for the three days. Universal took the No. 3 and No. 4 spots with Sing 2 and The 355. Sing 2 is projected to gross $11 million for the four-day weekend, and The 355 earned a projected $2.8 million for the four days. The King’s Man, from 20th Century and Disney, rounded out the top five with an estimated four-day holiday gross of $3 million.

Kid Cudi is set to star in the new horror movie X, distributed by A24. Directed by Ti West (V/H/S, The House of the Devil, The Innkeepers), the movie stars Cudi, Mia Goth, Jenna Ortega, and Brittany Snow. A new trailer was recently release for the film, which can be viewed – here.
Cudi has shown up in multiple films recently — he appeared with Ariana Grande in Don’t Look Up, (the duo recorded a new song for the movie); and he also appeared in the third film in the Bill & Ted franchise as himself.
X is scheduled to be released on March 18th.

50 Cent teams up with Lil Durk and Jeremih for the theme song to ‘Power Book IV: Force’ – “Power Powder Respect”
50 Cent’s Power series is getting another spinoff with the forthcoming show Power Book IV: Force.
The theme song, “Power Powder Respect,” has also been released for the series, led by Joseph Sikora. The title track sees appearances from Lil Durk and Jeremih alongside 50 Cent himself.

Tiffany Haddish arrested in Georgia on suspicion of DUI
Tiffany Haddish was arrested in Georgia the early hours of Friday, Jan. 14 on suspicion on DUI. According to Georgia’s Peachtree Police Department, officers responded to a 911 call about a “driver asleep at the wheel” at about 2:30 a.m. Assistant Chief of Police Matt Myers said: “While en route, an officer observed a vehicle matching the description, and ultimately conducted a traffic stop as the vehicle pulled into the yard of a residence.” Further investigation led to Haddish being arrested for driving under the influence; she was then transported to the Fayette County Jail. Records state that Haddish, 42, made her $1,666 bond and was released from jail around 6:30 a.m.
Haddish’s rep did not respond to a request for comment as of press time. According to People.com, the arrest comes during a difficult period in Haddish’s life; she ended her relationship with ex-boyfriend Common recently, and she has been mourning the deaths of her grandmother, her dog, and her close friends Bob Saget and Carl Craig.
Haddish is best known for her roles in Girls Trip, The Kitchen, Night School and Like A Boss. She is host of the television show, Kids Say The Darndest Things, and will soon be seen in the Apple TV+ mystery comedy series, The Afterparty.

Celine Dion cancels all remaining dates for her North American concert tour
Celine Dion announced over the weekend that she is canceling the remaining dates on the North American leg of her latest concert tour. The 53-year-old Dion wrote on her website that she was suffering from “severe and persistent muscle spasms,” which were preventing her from taking the stage.
Dion posted on Instagram: “I was really hoping that I’d be good to go by now, but I suppose I just have to be more patient and follow the regimen that my doctors are prescribing,
There’s a lot of organizing and preparation that goes into our shows, and so we have to make decisions today which will affect the plans two months down the road. I’ll be so glad to get back to full health, as well as all of us getting past this pandemic, and I can’t wait to be back on stage again. Meanwhile, I’ve been very touched by all the words of encouragement that everyone’s been sending to me on social media. I feel your love and support and it means the world to me.”
The North American leg of Dion’s Courage World Tour was set to kick-off March 9 at the Ball Arena in Denver, before wrapping up on April 22 at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. The European leg of the trek is still scheduled to begin on May 25 in Birmingham, England as of press time.

EARTHGANG release latest single ‘All Eyes On Me’

Ghetto Gods will arrive on January 28 via Dreamville Records. Speaking about the album last year, EARTHGANG said: “It’s our most complete and succinct album we’ve had since [2015’s Stray With Rabies]. It sounds like nothing from us previously, we hope that’s a good thing.
EARTHGANG will also be kicking off its “The Biodeghettable: Euro Trippin” tour, which will continue the duo’s mission of being environmentally friendly even while on the road. Its initiatives include reusables backstage passes to cut down on waste, reusable mugs and water bottles for all crew with water refilling stations backstage, reusable and compostable catering products, hotel toiletry donations to local shelters as well as an end-of-tour greening and cause impact report, and more.

Lil Wayne’s mixtape ‘Sorry 4 The Wait’ hits streaming services with four new songs
Lil Wayne’s 2011 mixtape Sorry 4 The Wait has been released on streaming services, along with some changes. For example, many of the song titles have been altered, including “Rollin’” now being titled “Tunechi’s Rollin,’” “Throwed Off” being “Throwed,” “Marvin’s Room” being “Tuenchi’s Room,” and “Gucci Gucci” being “One Big Room.”
In addition, Wayne added four new songs to the mixtape, two of them featuring Lil Tecca and Young Money artist Allan Cubas, respectively. Wayne also appears on “Sinister” from Cordae’s new album From A Birds Eye View, which comes just a week after he joined The Weeknd on “I Heard You Were Married” from his latest LP, Dawn FM.

“The Real’s” Jeannie Mai Jenkins and Jeezy welcome their 1st child together
“The Real” co-host Jeannie Mai Jenkins and her husband, rapper Jeezy (real name is Jay Wayne Jenkins), have welcomed their first child together. Jenkins, 43, wrote on Instagram: “I asked God for a life of love and happiness. He sent me my family. Baby Jenkins is here.” She also shared a photo of the newborn’s hospital bassinet containing a swaddle blanket and a name card that reads “Jenkins” but did not disclose the child’s name or sex.
Jenkins and Jeezy, 44, tied the knot in March of last year, and shortly after their wedding, Jenkins experienced a miscarriage. Said Mai Jenkins: “I wondered if I was being punished. I wondered if I’d jinxed myself or cursed myself. My entire life, I never wanted children. When I say never, I’m talking a hard-stop.” Jenkins had a change of heart about having children of her own after she began dating Jeezy in 2018. He has three children from previous relationships.
