Michelle Williams announces her third pregnancy, expecting second baby with husband Thomas Kail

Michelle Williams confirmed to Variety that she and her husband, Thomas Kail, will welcome their second baby together this fall. This will be Williams’ third child. The Oscar-nominated actor said: “It’s totally joyous. As the years go on, you sort of wonder what they might hold for you or not hold for you. It’s exciting to discover that something you want again and again, is available one more time. That good fortune is not lost on me or my family.”

Williams and Kail welcomed 1-year-old son Hart in 2020. Williams also shares her 16-year-old daughter, Matilda, with late actor Heath Ledger, who died in 2008. Williams said she looks forward to expanding her family and plans to take a break after her movies premiere to prepare for her baby’s birth, after her two upcoming film projects, “Showing Up” and “The Fabelmans”, wrap up.

Young Thug & Gunna arrested on racketeering charges in a 56-Count RICO indictment

Young Thug and Gunna are among 28 members and associates of his label and imprint YSL (Young Slime Life/Young Stoner Life/Young Slatt Life) involved in a 56-count indictment. Young Thug was arrested in Atlanta on allegations of street gang activity and conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act. According to sources and court records, the rapper was arrested as part of a grand jury trial.

Young Thug — real name Jeffery Lamar Williams — was apprehended after his residence was searched and is being detained at the Fulton County Jail. According to prison documents, Williams has been charged with conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) and involvement in illegal street gang activities. The conspiracy allegation arises from an alleged event on January 24, 2013, while the gang charge originates from a May 12, 2018 incident.

Brian Steel, Young Thug’s attorney, told news outlets that “Mr. Williams committed no crime whatsoever” and he would “fight till his last drop of blood to clear him.” Williams was scheduled to make his first court appearance Tuesday.

Travis Scott to perform at ‘2022 Billboard Music Awards’ in first televised performance since Astroworld tragedy

Billboard announced Travis Scott will take the stage at this weekend’s Billboard Music Awards in his first televised performance since the Astroworld last November, during which a crowd surge led to the tragic deaths of ten festival attendees.

Scott is nominated for top dance/electronic song for the remix of his hit single “Goosebumps” with Spanish producer HVME. His Billboard performance will mark both his first televised performance and his first awards show performance since Astroworld. The rapper just gave his first public performance in several months at the club E11even’s Miami Grand Prix celebration on Saturday night.

Along with Scott, Becky G, Ed Sheeran, Elle King & Miranda Lambert were also just announced as performers. They will join previously announced artists to hit the Billboard Music Award stage including Burna Boy, Florence + The Machine, Latto, Maxwell, Megan Thee Stallion, Morgan Wallen, Rauw Alejandro, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Silk Sonic. The show will also honor this year’s Icon Award recipient Mary J. Blige.

The BBMAs, hosted by Sean “Diddy” Combs, will broadcast live coast-to-coast from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 15th at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT on NBC, and will stream live on Peacock.

Take a look at the teaser trailer for ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’

20th Century Studios shared a teaser trailer for the sci-fi movie Avatar: The Way of Water, the sequel to the 2009 film Avatar. The movie, featuring Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldaña, takes place on the fictional planet Pandora and centers on the conflict between humans and the nature-loving species Na’vi.  Avatar: The Way of Water is written, directed and produced by James Cameron, and also stars Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Kate Winslet and Cliff Curtis.

Worthington and Saldaña return as Jake Sully and Neytiri, and the teaser trailer introduces the couple’s children while the family faces a new threat on Pandora.  An official film synopsis reads: “Set more than a decade after the events of the first film, ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ begins to tell the story of the Sully family, the trouble that follows them, the lengths they go to keep each other safe, the battles they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure.”

A remastered version of the original Avatar will be shown in theaters on Sept. 23.  Avatar: The Way of Water opens in theaters Dec. 16.   Check out the teaser trailer – here.

Kanye West shares new video for “Life of the Party” featuring André 3000

Ye, aka Kanye West, has dropped the new video for “Life of the Party”, his collaboration with André 3000. The visual shares childhood photos of Ye, with young Kanye rapping the verses.   Life of the Party appears on the deluxe edition of Donda.

According to a press release, a television commercial for Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga, featuring the “Life of the Party” visual, was set to debut at the same time as the new video. The collection marks the first limited release between Ye and Balenciaga creative director Demna Gvasalia. It debuted online in late February, and the upcoming drop will be available for purchase on May 25.

Kendrick Lamar releases the video for his new song “The Heart Part 5”

Kendrick Lamar has released his new single titled “The Heart Part 5”, off his upcoming album Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers. 

Lamar posted on Twitter a music video for track; and in the video clip, Lamar has his face morph into OJ Simpson, Kanye West, Jussie Smollett, the late Kobe Bryant, Will Smith and the late Nipsey Hussle.  Lamar and Dave Free directed the video, which begins with the statement “I am. All of Us.” (the quote is attributed to Oklama, an alias used by the 34-year-old rapper).

“The Heart Part 5” is Lamar’s first new music since announcing his new album Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, which will drop this Friday, May 13.     You can take a look at the video for “The Heart Part 5” here.

Selena Gomez to make ‘Saturday Night Live’ hosting debut with Post Malone as musical guest

Gomez is scheduled to host the May 14 episode of SNL, with Post Malone set to be the musical guest. It also will be Malone’s debut on the late-night sketch comedy show. Gomez shared the news on Instagram, writing: “Mom… I think I’ve made it. So grateful and so excited.”

Gomez currently stars on the Hulu series Only Murders in the Building and released her last album, Rare, in 2020.While she hasn’t hosted the show before, Gomez appeared as musical guest on SNL in 2016, performing a medley of her songs “Hands to Myself” and a “Good for You/Same Old Love.”  Meanwhile, Malone is gearing up for his first appearance on SNL, and will debut his new album, Twelve Carat Toothache, on June 3.

Saturday Night Live is set to conclude its 47th season on May 21st, with guests yet to be announced.

Take a look at the latest trailer for the upcoming Disney+ series ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’

The latest trailer for Disney+’s newest Star Wars series, Obi-Wan Kenobi, has been released.  The trailer for the limited series shows Obi-Wan (portrayed by Ewan McGregor) watching over a young Luke Skywalker and living in hiding on the desert planet of Tatooine following the events of Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. 

In the trailer, Luke’s Uncle Owen (Joel Edgerton) tells Obi-Wan to leave them alone and doesn’t want the fallen hero to train Luke in the ways of the Jedi. Obi-Wan says: “When the time comes, he must be trained,” to which Uncle Owen replies back, “Like you trained his father?” (in reference to how Anakin Skywalker turned to the dark side and became Darth Vader, portrayed by Hayden Christensen).  The trailer ends with Obi-Wan seemingly coming face to face with Vader once again.  Disney+ also released a new poster for the series, that features Obi-Wan and Vader.

Obi-Wan Kenobi comes to Disney+ on May 27, premiering with two episodes. New episodes will then be released every Wednesday.  The series also stars Moses Ingram, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie.

‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ leads the weekend box office with $185M; earns $450M globally

Marvel Studios and Disney’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness grossed $185 million in its debut to land one of the biggest openings of all time domestically, as well as earning $450 million globally,

The sequel to Doctor Strange, directed by Sam Raimi and starring Benedict Cumberbatch, landed the 11th biggest domestic launch in history and the seventh biggest opening for any Marvel Cinematic title behind Avengers: Age of Ultron ($191.3 million), Black Panther ($202 million), The Avengers ($207.3 million), Avengers: Infinity War ($257.7 million), Spider-Man: No Way Home ($260.1 million) and Avengers: Endgame ($357.1 million).  Doctor Strange 2 is also the second-biggest domestic release of 2022, behind The Batman which has grossed $369.1 million to date.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness picks up where No Way Home left off, with Stephen Strange coming to the assistance of a young girl named America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez) who can jump across various universes. The movie also features Elizabeth Olsen, Rachel McAdams, Benedict Wong and Chiwetel Ejiofor.

Drake joins Future in the video for their collab “Wait for U”

Following the release of his album I Never Liked You, Future has shared the video for “Wait for U” featuring Drake and Tems, and directed by Director X.  Also starring in the video is singer-songwriter Moxie Raia, model Cece Rose, producer ATL Jacob, rapper Strick, and comedian Trey Richards.

The video for ‘Wait for U’ comes shortly after Future dropped the deluxe edition of I Never Liked You, which added six additional tracks to the record. The newly added songs include features from Lil Baby, BabyFace Ray, 42 Dugg, Lil Durk, and Young Scooter.
